Getting there
Clocking in at roughly 60 km, this route is breezy. Since the main highway bypassed Barog in 2003, the final approach is a blissfully quiet dead-end spur.
Expect 2.5 hours of gorgeous narrow-gauge climbing from Kalka. The big payoff? Rolling into Barog station right as you pop out of the iconic 1,143 m Tunnel No. 33.
