Getting there
That winding climb up the Kasara ghat is gorgeous, but hit the road early to beat the winery-bound weekend rush. Keep an eye out for the ancient hilltop caves at Pathardi Phata right off the highway.
The station is slightly outside the main hub, but do not worry - there is a constant stream of cheap autos, local buses, and shared rides waiting to whisk you off to the temples or vineyards.
