Getting there
Cruise down the buttery-smooth highway to Vapi, then take the 12 km local stretch into town. Going by rail? Hop off at Vapi station and grab a quick cab for the final leg.

Trace your path back through Vapi to NH48. It is an easy 2.5-hour drive that will get you back home just in time for early evening.
Tip · Keep in mind that Sunday evening rush on NH48 around Navsari can easily tack on an extra 30 minutes.

When to go
Crisp, sunny, and pleasantly breezy. Hands down the best time to visit, especially through mid-March.
Expect heavy showers and high humidity. The forts look lush, green, and atmospheric, but rough seas make beaches out of bounds.
Good to know
- Keep a valid government ID handy - you are crossing into a union territory and hotels will definitely ask for it at check-in.
- Daman's tidal, brown-sand coast is tailor-made for sunset strolls and promenade lounging rather than swimming.
- Skip the road traffic and take the pedestrian footbridge between the two forts for breezy river views on foot.
