Google shut down the Trips app on August 5, 2019, folding fragments of it into Google Search and Maps. The automatic Gmail-bookings-to-itinerary app was never replaced with anything whole.

What Google Trips did well
- Zero-effort organization: trips simply appeared from Gmail, with offline access.
- Day plans and things-to-do suggestions made it a genuine planning aid, not just a booking list.
Where the organizer model stops
- It has been gone since 2019, and what Google folded into Search and Maps is scattered - there is no single place where bookings and a day-by-day plan live together.

Where Tripmojo falls short
- Tripmojo is new. TripIt has been parsing confirmation emails since 2006; we ship parser fixes weekly, but you will still occasionally meet a booking email we misread and have to correct by hand.
- Automatic booking detection only works with Gmail. On Outlook or any other inbox you forward or upload bookings yourself - there is no auto-scan for non-Google email yet.
- There is no loyalty-program tooling: Tripmojo does not track points balances, monitor fares for refund claims, or watch seat maps the way TripIt Pro does.
