Yes. Pakistan is on Singapore’s visa-required list, so an entry visa must be approved before you travel. The unusual part is how you apply: there is no direct individual online application. You go through a visa agent authorised by Singapore’s Overseas Missions, through a local contact in Singapore using their Singpass, or at an Overseas Mission itself.

Entry requirements

  • A Pakistani passport valid for at least six months from the date you arrive.
  • An approved Singapore entry visa, obtained before travel through one of the permitted channels.
  • An SG Arrival Card submitted online before you travel. It is free, and it is required in addition to the visa rather than instead of it.
  • Proof of onward or return travel, and an address in Singapore.
  • Evidence that you can support yourself for the visit.

How to apply for a Singapore entry visa

Pick your channel first, because this is where applicants lose time. Individuals cannot simply file online themselves. The application goes through a visa agent authorised by a Singapore Overseas Mission, or through a contact in Singapore who submits it with their Singpass, or directly at an Overseas Mission.

Agents charge a service fee on top of the statutory visa fee, and the totals differ between them, so confirm the full amount before you commit rather than after.

Submit well ahead of travel. The channel adds steps that a purely online application would not have, and the approval has to exist before you fly.

Good to know

  • Two separate things both have to be done, and people routinely do only one. The entry visa is the permission to travel and is arranged in advance through an agent or a local contact. The SG Arrival Card is a free online declaration every single traveller submits before arriving, regardless of nationality or visa status. Holding the visa does not exempt you from the card, and submitting the card does nothing toward the visa.
  • The visa still is not the thing that lets you in. An approved Singapore visa allows you to travel and to be considered at the checkpoint; the immigration officer then issues a visit pass which is what actually sets how long you may stay. Two different documents, two different decisions, and only the second one is made on the day.
  • Because the application runs through intermediaries, the price you are quoted is not the price Singapore charges. Any figure you see advertised bundles an agent’s service fee with the statutory fee, which is why quotes for the same visa vary, and it is worth asking for the two figures separately.

Frequently asked questions

Do Pakistanis need a visa for Singapore?

Yes. Pakistan is on Singapore’s list of nationalities that require an entry visa, which must be approved before you travel.

Can Pakistanis apply for a Singapore visa online themselves?

No. There is no direct individual online application. It goes through an ICA-authorised visa agent, a local contact in Singapore using Singpass, or a Singapore Overseas Mission.

Do Pakistanis need the SG Arrival Card as well as a visa?

Yes, both. The arrival card is a free online declaration required of every traveller and is separate from the visa.

Does a Singapore visa guarantee entry?

No. It allows you to travel and be assessed at the checkpoint. The officer then issues a visit pass, and that pass determines how long you may stay.

Why do Singapore visa prices differ between agents?

Because agents add a service charge to the statutory fee. Ask for the two amounts separately so you can compare the service charge rather than the total.
