Entry requirements

A Portuguese passport. Singapore is an external border with no arrangement recognising the Cartao de Cidadao, so the national identity card has no standing here.
An SG Arrival Card submitted before you arrive. It is a declaration, not permission to enter, and holding one decides nothing about your stay.
An individually issued travel document for every member of the party regardless of age. Singapore does not accept collective travel documents, so a child cannot travel on a parent’s.
The ordinary evidence an officer may ask for: onward travel, somewhere to stay and means to support the visit.

What actually happens at the checkpoint

There is nothing to apply for before you travel. Portugal is absent from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority list of travel documents requiring a Singapore entry visa, so you present the passport and are assessed on arrival.

The officer issues a visit pass electronically. Singapore records it as an e-Pass rather than inking the passport, so there is no stamp to read afterwards and the only way to know what you were actually granted is to check the pass itself. That is unusual enough to say plainly, because on many routes the choice of passport is the whole decision.
The absence of a stamp is the thing to get used to. Because the visit pass is electronic, the date you must leave by does not appear anywhere in the passport, and there is no physical artefact to check at the airport on the way home. Overstaying in Singapore carries consequences well beyond a fine, so the pass is worth looking up rather than remembering.
