Lonavala inverts the usual hill-station calendar: the monsoon, June to September, is the headline season - waterfalls at full volume, green in every direction and the weekend energy at its peak. Expect crowds on Saturdays and book stays ahead. October to February is the calm, pleasant alternative: clear views, walkable forts and the caves without queues.
